Re: Rounded edges ?

I agree that this would be a nice add on. I note that keyshot have it. On the model there is an option to add a 'virtual' edge break. It just makes the render look a bit more real as in reality there is no such thing as a perfectly sharp edge. Just something to think about, might be easy to do. Lovi...

Re: Keyshot Toon Shader

Hi,

I think some form of non-real rendering would be great. Wireframe, pencil sketch, cartoon... you know the sort of thing. Rhino do some interesting stuff with penguin.

Plain background - poorer quality edge

HI Guys, Loving the 2014 release. I want to render products with a plain background. If I select a plain white image as a background I notice the edge is not so crisp, see the images attached. Any ideas? I get around it by exporting a png with no background. SimLab_313.png SimLab_315.png Hmm, cant r...

Re: Strange effect on rendered animation

Hi caetoolbox, Are you now doing the support for simlab? are you at simlab? You were correct, I had some touching faces. I fixed that and it helped, but then I had to go in an also turn back on detailed shadow. I guess the texture is slowing down the render. looking good now though. Do you know how ...

Animation of scene states?

Hi, I am doing another multi-stage animation with parts being turned on and off. I wondered if you might be able to animate the scene states, ie at frame 50 swap from scene 1 to scene 2. This would be a great way of turning on/off different parts.

Strange effect on rendered animation

Hi, See here - https://vimeo.com/53660782 an animation and note the strange effect going on between the bone and the implant. Any idea of how to stop this. I have turned off detailed shadow to speed up the rendering.

Re: appear and disappear during an animation

Hi Bob, I have been using the animation for a while now. As you use it more you will unearth ways to do things. A couple of things I found (by accident) useful. 1. You can hold down CTRL when moving a animation box (marker?) to copy the box. This can be useful to keep a geometry in the same position...
