Re: What do you want to see in the next update

+1. When was the Rhino plugin last updated?

My wish for export of 'Selected objects only' still stands.

Re: Poor Antialiasing Quality?

I did some more reading on this problem & think I found the solution here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1955530 Once the security setting that's mentioned is disabled (i.e. disable Protected Mode as default behaviour), it looks as though Acrobat Reader then allows any changes to settings made...

Re: PDF Doesn't Open on Perspective View

Yes- that's what I did. Hence the comment I made " The only tweak I make when saving out the PDF is to bump 'Perspective' up to the top of the list in the plugin dialogue box, and put 'Top' second. " The PDF I attached is the result. Nothing I have tried in the setting panel will change th...

Re: PDF Doesn't Open on Perspective View

Files attached. Before saving the PDF out, the Rhino Perspective viewport was set to 'Perspective' in the right-click menu. It is the default Perspective viewpoint. To frame the ortho views, I Select All, then ZoomSelected for all three. The only tweak I make when saving out the PDF is to bump 'Pers...

Re: PDF Doesn't Open on Perspective View

Do you have any update on this? It's still happening and it's annoying. I've just opened up an old 3D PDF that I made with the Rhino plugin/ Windows 7 some years ago and that opens straight to the correct perspective viewpoint on my Windows 10 PC, so I think the change of behaviour has been caused e...

Poor Antialiasing Quality?

Has anyone else noticed a reduction in the quality of antialiasing of all line work when saved to a 3D PDF using the Rhino PDF plugin? Surfaces render smoothly. For me it is now very poor - it doesn't look as though there is any line antialiasing in effect. I don't think it's the fault of the Simlab...

PDF Doesn't Open on Perspective View

Since installing the PDF plugin on my Windows 10 workstation, any 3D PDFs I create with it don't open on the Perspective view as set up in my Rhino viewport (or any of the ortho views if I put one of those at the top of the list either). Instead, I get what looks like a blank, coloured page. I think...

Re: What do you want to see in the next update

Another wish for the Rhino plugin (and Composer too, in the Rhino environment):

Export/save selected objects only to PDF. This would save a lot of time with switching off layers and hiding unwanted objects before saving out a PDF.

3D PDF - Thumbnail Image

I've installed the Rhino plugin on my new workstation and all seems to work fine (thanks to the Simlab crew for helping to sort out my licensing issues!) with one small exception: My PDF's don't have a thumbnail view in Windows Explorer. All I see is a blank white rectangle. When I open the PDF, tha...

Re: Viewing Sections in Acrobat Reader XI 3D PDF

Well, it's good to know I'm not the only one having a problem with this. As a workaround, I've found that if I add planes to the model, and use them as the target surfaces for Acrobat Readers 'Align to Face' in Cross Section Properties, the section sticks. It's not ideal as you then have to hide the...
