Re: Rhino 3dm layers lost and request for a Rhino FBX plugin

Hi Cyana,

thank you very much for the insight in the limits and the workarounds. This should help me a lot. :)

Now I'm curious about the Simlab support, will we see fixes for the problems in the next future? Could be there a Rhino FBX plugin?

Best-

Rhino 3dm layers lost and request for a Rhino FBX plugin

Hi, I tested, how the Composer could be used to convert Rhino models to FBX files. First, I'm glad to see that instances are supported. But I'm confused by the layer management. Here an example - in the backround the clear Rhino layer structure. ScreenShot10468.png If I reimport the FBX from the Com...

How to get a simply model hierarchy?

Hi, I try to keep the model hierarchy simply as possible and I'm looking for a way to avoid unneeded entries. How can I avoid the "assembly.." and the "cameras" entry? During export I selected "active view" only, but the model hierarchy entry shows a lot of camera names. Can it be avoided? I like to...

Great, looks like I have an older version running. I will install the latest one.

Thank you,

Re: Opening the "Model Tree" automatically

I can't find the option here. Where is it?
Also I can't see which version I have installed, at the "about" there is no version number.

No difference between Spin and Rotate

Hi,

I try to keep the z-axis upright, but the options seems to be not working. Or did I something wrong?

Ciao,

Re: HDR environment scaling.

No, it depends how your HDRI is shot and there is no way to change the HDRI look. Only you can adjust the distance to your object and/or the focal lenght, so that your object match the HDRI.

Re: Wish: direct open and not import only for PDF

A clean scene would be good. From Rhino I know that I can direct open 3dm, obj, ... without that the models are imported to a current scene. I afraid, that options could be mixed, if the PDF is imported instead clean opened. So far my impression from the Rhino workflow.
