Re: VR Mechanical

Yep, I have played around with that a lot today and that was one of the things I learned.

Biggest problem right now is trying to define the starting position. I do not like the current starting position and have not figured out to to adjust/control it.

Re: VR Desktop Viewer/Showroom - Windows 10

I have some more suggestions as well: ⋅ Provide a way to open the app/viewer in full screen mode (yes -this is the same thing - just compiling a complete list). ⋅ Provide a way to sort/arrange the models in the left hand column ⋅ Allow the left hand navigation panel to ...

VR Desktop Viewer/Showroom - Windows 10

Is there a way to expand the Showroom & Viewer to fill the entire screen? I am thinking about something like a convention environment or showroom with a large screen where you would want to fill and entire screen with the showroom. Also, just out of curiosity, can you use the showroom/desktop vi...

Re: VR Mechanical

I have made some progress with the Mechanical VR so that I am getting MUCH more acceptable appearance of my model in the Desktop Viewer. However, I still have not figured out how to control the starting position with the Mechanical version. Can someone give me some hints? :? Right now I am using the...

Re: Create & Save custom materials

OK - I had a Library created but was messing up how to create a new material. Got it now.

I will have a look at FilterForge. I do have Xara Graphics so I should also look at creating some bump maps there as well.

Thanks for the feedback/reply.

Re: Create & Save custom materials

Thanks, that worked fine. However (isn't there always a however ;) ), how do I put that new material in my own library instead of the SimLab library?

On a slightly different topic, where can I get some bump maps?

Re: SimLab Composer 8.2.2

Material icons disappearing a lot in version 8.2.2 Here is a screen shot that might help show the problem 8-2-2 Material Icons.PNG Notice where the icons are missing. The icon in the material dialog box disappears every time I apply a material to an object in the model. If I then modify the material...

Here are 3 screen shots........... Mammoth Blower-Dryer_render..png Mammoth Blower-Dryer_WebGL.PNG Mammoth Blower-Dryer_VR.PNG I made absolutely no changes between the images. First I rendered the model, then I generated a WebGL page and then I launched the Desktop Viewer. Decided to share the SKP f...

Re: VR Mechanical

I have also watched the videos in the Mechanical VR series and do not understand what they did differently so that when they launch the Desktop Viewer, their model shows up with its rendered properties. How is that done or maybe I should say what am I doing wrong because I do not see my model with i...

Re: Requirments for SimLab Composer 9

Although SimLab already provides interactivity, I would like to see the ability to add clickable spots and more elaborate popups (like the message box) like in Sketchfab and 3DVista. Both of these products allow you to add the links that follow objects as you rotate, pan and etc. 3DVista also provid...
