Re: SimLab Composer 9 preview

Hi Simlab (and users) Tested the 360°-link, and had only some success in Chrome. It's as if the dots/camera-positions only get partially painted, making them very hard to see (thus making navigating the scene rather difficult). Tested Firefox, which worked like a charm and Internet Explorer, which f...

Re: Baked Textures Stay Noisy

OK - more testing and I think I've come to the conclusion, that for small scale objects with curvature you need to enable the high quality geometry processing - if not, the texture will be noisy and stitching will be un-even. Also, setting the texture size to 4096 in both min and max helps. Samples ...

Re: Baked Textures Stay Noisy

Hi All I was playing with baking a little the other day (for the first time) and ran into the exact same problems - no matter the settings, the baked textures are noisy and stitching looks horrible. OK - so I did a little more testing, and discovered that at least part of it has to do with the scal...

Hi All I was playing with baking a little the other day (for the first time) and ran into the exact same problems - no matter the settings, the baked textures are noisy and stitching looks horrible. I'll make an example file with a non-NDA model for you to look at, when I have the time. There most b...

Re: Is there a way to change object size in an animation?

Hi tamzhijing As long as that movement is linear, an easy trick is to just make a short section of the cable and then copying it in place, so that you have multiple sections on top of each other. Then when you need the cable to extend, you animate the "extra" segments (extending from the o...

Animated/video textures in VR?

Is it possible to have animated/video textures in VR? If yes, how? If not, consider it a wish! It would be nice for emulating screen interfaces.

Animate "Viewerstartposition" in VR?

Hi Simlab Is it possible to animate the viewerstartposition in VR? What I mean is to turn the VR into sort of a guided tour, so that once the animation is triggered, the position of the "VR person" is animated. I know that I could animate the entire scene around the person instead, but it ...

Re: Requirments for SimLab Composer 9

Hi Simlab's

I'd love to see a proximity trigger in VR - so that you can set of an event/action when the VR "person" enters/leaves a given area in space - eg. light turning on in room as you enter, door opens as you approach, machine starts moving when you get close etc.

Triggering a sequence AND a scene state

Hi all :)

Still very new to Composer, but getting there. I have an animated light switch (sequence) and would like to trigger a scene state change as the switch is activated (turned on/off). How can that be done?

TIA, Jakob
