Re: Texture Quality - Object Edges are not smooth (Round appears as octagon)

Hi Kush, I am on Ver. 9 But I don't think its a version thing. The tessellation setting is there for NURBS imports. If you are importing a mesh, then there will be no tessellation option. I guess I could be wrong on that. So, try a STEP or SAT or IGES model.... Hi All Simlab Composer is not alone i...

IOS VR?

I've been away from Composer for a while, working in both Unity and UE, and came back expecting to find VR on the IOS app working. The last mention I can find is from June last year. What kind of timeframe are we looking at, in terms of getting Simlab Composer VR scenes to run on the IOS app? Thanks...

Re: SimLab Composer 9 preview

Hi Simlab (and users) Tested the 360°-link, and had only some success in Chrome. It's as if the dots/camera-positions only get partially painted, making them very hard to see (thus making navigating the scene rather difficult). Tested Firefox, which worked like a charm and Internet Explorer, which f...

Re: Baked Textures Stay Noisy

OK - more testing and I think I've come to the conclusion, that for small scale objects with curvature you need to enable the high quality geometry processing - if not, the texture will be noisy and stitching will be un-even. Also, setting the texture size to 4096 in both min and max helps. Samples ...

Re: Baked Textures Stay Noisy

Hi All I was playing with baking a little the other day (for the first time) and ran into the exact same problems - no matter the settings, the baked textures are noisy and stitching looks horrible. OK - so I did a little more testing, and discovered that at least part of it has to do with the scal...

Hi All I was playing with baking a little the other day (for the first time) and ran into the exact same problems - no matter the settings, the baked textures are noisy and stitching looks horrible. I'll make an example file with a non-NDA model for you to look at, when I have the time. There most b...

Re: Is there a way to change object size in an animation?

Hi tamzhijing As long as that movement is linear, an easy trick is to just make a short section of the cable and then copying it in place, so that you have multiple sections on top of each other. Then when you need the cable to extend, you animate the "extra" segments (extending from the original pi...

No one? I take it that's a "no, it's not possible". Please consider this a wish the feature to be added :)

Animated/video textures in VR?

Is it possible to have animated/video textures in VR? If yes, how? If not, consider it a wish! It would be nice for emulating screen interfaces.

TIA, Jakob
