v.8.0.99 Plastic Roughness Problem

Postby hornpipe » Tue Aug 08, 2017 6:17 pm

I started this topic so that this serious problem will not be lost in the general discussions.

So, it does not work for me.

We are aware of this problem, should be fixed on next update. And yes, it works fine on Mac :)

Thanks,

As said, this should be fixed in the release.

But as an advanuser, you can create a roughness map and use it if needed, this should work.

Thank you @SimLab. I hope that the problem with the rendering library will be solved in the next release too. This happens regularly. I sometimes run the program several times. It's unnerving. Especially when I did not save the scene.
I mean this problem: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=10309

Hi
I did my first baking of a scene today. I'm not sure what counts as big but it was a low poly room with low poly furniture. I had quite a lot of crashes and odd things happen such as objects changing scale, disappearing from the scene and causing crashes. I found various ways around these issues but it was a painful process. I have an i5 and 16gb of ram and it used all of this while baking. It also used up all my video memory to cause a crash each time I saved. Having said all this I can see great potential and I learned a lot in the process. I'm only posting because I'm using the beta version and you might want more information.

Hi
I sent it to info@simlab-soft.com and I uploaded a quite nice version to the VR theater. I'm loving the way the software is developing too:)
Best wishes
Keith
