Oculus Touch: how to assign functions to control buttons?

Postby KLZ » Mon Jan 08, 2018 4:50 pm

Hi, Is there some tutorial or manual explaining how to assign or program different functions to the Oculus Touch control buttons? SimLab VR Viewer is working fine with my Oculus Rift, I can see the Touch Controllers (green and blue), now I want to assign functions to each button (move, scale, teletransport, etc.)
Thanks!

At this point functions are predefined.

Blue controller for actions, grabbing and teleportation
green controller for large scene navigation and lists

This is the same as the HTC controller.

Please check the VR section in the following tutorial page

You can also check the demo page, if you have questions about any of them we can help.

The teleportation function (blue controller) is working fine for me, but I can't assign any Action to my model, the Action panel is grayed out (Lite Edition), is this a version limitation ?
I'd like to make my objects grabbable, and change their scale or size, all toghether at the same time. Can I do it with the Lite Edition ? What about freely rotating an object around a 3d axis or line? What version is appropiate for this features?
(Also, one of my models now report an error and Simlab crashes. I'm sending the error to info@simlab-soft.com)

Thanks!
