Is there a way to change object size in an animation?

Postby tamzhijing » Thu Mar 08, 2018 5:58 pm

I am trying to create an animation showing crane moving an object and am having trouble figuring out how to make the cables extend and retract in the animation when the object is being lifted or lowered. Is it even possible currently?

None rigid body animation at this point is not supported.

We will look into adding this in the future.

Hi tamzhijing

As long as that movement is linear, an easy trick is to just make a short section of the cable and then copying it in place, so that you have multiple sections on top of each other. Then when you need the cable to extend, you animate the "extra" segments (extending from the original piece of cable) to create the illusion of the cable extending.
