Light from file in a 3DPDF

Postby jeant408 » Mon May 21, 2018 5:20 pm

Hello everybody,
I have to create a 3DPDF and I cannot get the "Light from file" option.
I checked the 3DPDF settings and the option "Light from file" is well checked.
When I open my 3DPDF, the light is by default on "light optimised for CAO", and light from file is not available.
Somebody an idea to solve the problem?

Thanks in advance !
Jean

Light from file will work if you added lights to the scene.
If no lights were added light from file will be switched.

Hello Simlab,
Thank you for your answer.
I did the test again with lights in the scene. (2 directional lights with different colors).
It doesn't work unfortunately.
The option is now available but I can't use it.
I have attached my 3DPDF test file.
Can you have a look at it?
The file lights are colored.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I have tested your PDF file, it works well and "lights from file" has applied correctly. Please reinstall your "Acrobat Reader" it may solve the problem.

Hello amr,
Thank you for helping.
I uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat reader DC without any change.
Acrobat reader XI does not work neither.
... but I think I found the guilty.
In the preferences of Acrobat : preferred converter = software. (see attached)
Then I can see the file lighting
If I choose : OpenGL 1.4, file lighting does not work any more.
Do you confirm?
Can you tell me if the OpenGL is updated? Do I have a off-dated version?
Thanks in advance,
Jean
