Adding sounds to VR events

Postby dl.isarescu » Mon Aug 27, 2018 11:53 am

Adding a sound (mp3 but also wav) to an VR event increases the waiting time for the VR view to initialise, while displaying "Exporting geometry".
Is there any way around this?

This may be due to the conversion of the files to a format that the viewer can understand.

How long is the sound tracks being converted?

Here is a video shot with my phone that shows the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIxMbJb1MHM
You can see the loading time before and after adding a sound. The sound is one second in lenght and the file has 233,5k.
If you add the same sound to more objects/events, the waiting time gets longer and longer.

The problem is really easy to replicate. As far as I see, the simlab support really does not care for it`s customers.

I will ask developers to check this.

Thank you for the encouragement ;)

I promise you we really care, and we work from morning until night extremely happy to serve SimLab users.
