About Voxel (Resolved!)

SimLab has a Voxel function but...
If you draw a Sphere (inside SimLab : Geometry/ Shape/Sphere) then call the Voxel function
you have some luck to block your computer! :)

It's working with little objects but very slow and risked!

Better is use MagicaVoxel (it's free)
you can load an object in OBJ format (it's very speedy) (v 0.98)

For example a simple object 3D (here in MeshMixer (it's free)

As you can Paint directly some try with some colors
after direct import inside Magica Voxel (some speedy voxelisation
and little paint for example and Cylinder as "modules" )
and as it has also a little render engine...

Of course you can export as OBJ format and reload it in SimLab Composer
for a more elaborated render! ;)

In this case how to select all faces of a same color for apply a new Material inside SimLAB ?

From material library try merge identical material, this should allow you to change material for all objects at once

If you ask material/ Object Selected used at start you have a single material with a color palett
So
Object selected
I have Broken Geometry (not necessary)
I have Broken Faces
I can apply a material to some selected faces :)
but some painful to choose them one by one! :?
so a trick for select all faces of a same color will be fine!
seems fusion (merge) to a material don't make the trick for select something before!

Maybe i miss something! :)
Can you try with the file above ?

Eureka! :idea:

It was so simple as usual! :)

You can make one Drag and Drop MULTIPLE in one time!!! :ugeek:

So if you have several separated objects inside MagicaVoxel when you Export them you obtain several OBJ file with different name (name01, name02 etc)

So you can make a Drag & Drop Multiple to SimLab Composer Light!!! :idea:
And now very easy to change something in material!

For MagicaVoxel you must be in "Edit Mode" !
