Hello everybody,
I am facing a little issue with the "visibility limit", when I zoom close to an object, I reach a sort of visibility limit (or border), and all objects in the view disapear, as they are "cuted-off" by this view limit. (see attachment).
Is there a solution to change this limit and be able to zoom very close to objects?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Jean
View limits
Re: View limits
Hello Jeant408
This is not a fault, it is correct as your 'camera' is passing the clipping plane and cannot see anything behind this plane. If you like to think of it as passing onto the 'inside' of your object or passing into a section view you can.
As an example, we model vehicle on the exterior and interior. When we pan in from an external view, it passes through to the interior and we then get a shot of the interior.
If you turn perspective off, you will no longer pass through the clipping plane but will continue to zoom in like a typical 3d CAD package.
I've attached a quick little video to show the difference.
Hope this helps

Re: View limits
Hello Pocc,
Thank you very much for the explaination
.
However, I have the impression that you can go much much closer to the object.
My scene is scale 1/1 and I would say roughly that the clipping plane starts at +/- 1 meter of the object I am looking to.
Is there , at your opinion, a setting somewhere for this clipping plane?
Is it linked to the object itself?
Thanks again,
Jean

Re: View limits
Hello again Pocc,
I think I found something interesting.
There is a "large" item in my scene (+/- 20x20m).
When I turn it off, I am then able to get much closer to my objects.
It is strange, and I don't understand exactly why it happens, but I have a solution to go on with my work.
Thanks again for your help,
Jean
