Does Simlab have a landscape modifying option?

Postby OnlineBuilder » Sat Oct 13, 2018 5:05 am

I've been playing around with the trial version this week. I really like the results.

Does Simlab have a landscape modifying option where you can create hills and gullies and rivers etc? I can do it in CAD first, but it would be good to modify it afterwards. Is there an option in the Pro version?

No, this is not supported.

At this point you need to do this in CAD and bring it to SimLab Composer.

Although there's no CAD features as such, there is a scale feature, so if all you wanted to do was say make a mountain higher, you can do this with the 'Transform' tab of an object. I'm no architect, but attached is pictures of a quick little hill I contoured up and then used the transform just to scale the height.

First off, I've been away for quite some time so this is a sketchy reply... I have used Bryce in the past to create ground, exported it to obj file and then brought it into my Simlab scene. Just now able to upgrade to the latest Simlab and haven't check it out yet, also bryce 7.0 is only $20. I would often use the two together for outdoor settings.
