Lighting help needed?

Post by Thoughts2Designs » Thu Apr 04, 2019 1:33 pm

Hi,

I downloaded the "lite" version to try it because the software I am using for modeling does an okay job but not near the quality I want and I found this program (which imports .dae - collada files correctly).

However, I am struggling with the lighting in a big way. The model I have, I already put the lighting fixtures in. I have can lights above the cabinets and two pendant lights above the island and I am having and issue trying to get it to work. I click render but I can seem to get them turned on, I used the IES lights which I am not really sure how they work and how to get them adjusted so they look like the light is coming out of the lights I already have in the model.

Is there a Light Emitting Material I am unaware of that would make it easier?

Also I attached a zip file with the model in a Collada (.dae file) and a zip containing the textures.

Thank you!

Update, I think I'm slowly figuring it out, but is there a way to place IES lights directly where you want them instead of just randomly in the model and having to struggle with getting them where you want them?
