Problem with lights

Post by simlabber » Mon Apr 15, 2019 3:04 pm

I seem to have difficulty understanding how these lights work in simlab. Below are two images of the same area, with one light in a hallway turned off and on. I don't understand how the light from the hallway would affect the ceramic wall that is behind other materials in this fashion?

Lights seem to be a problem overall, since I can't really adjust one light without it dramatically affecting another one. Sometimes materials would get "ghost" lights in places as if a light was placed right near it.

It seems the area about oven and light share the same material

That is why when you change light emitter you get this effect.

The following tutorial should show you have to separate the two
