Import 2 or more objects and move them independently

Postby Juergen » Fri Sep 10, 2010 5:37 pm

Hi there,

is it possible to import two objects (for example two cubes) and move or turn only one? And in a second step the other one?

Kind regards,

Juergen

Yes you can do that with SimLab Composer.

Even if the two cubes were saved as a single object in the file, you can break them in SimLab Composer and after that move each of them individually.

Yes, I am trying to do this with the Composer - without success. Do you have a hint for me how to do so? I need this feature then in the exported pdf-file.

Thanks in advance,

If the two cubes are imported as a single cube, then click on Tools -> Break geometry

No, I import two files. I can only move and turn them together.

I hope there is no misunderstanding: I can move the models with the selection-tools within Composer. My goal is to move each object individually, also in the pdf.

Is this possible?

I do not think that this is possible, in version 2.2 you will be able to apply animation on each part and pass the animation to the 3D PDF file.

But this will be a saved animation that plays inside acrobat reader, and the user will not be able to move one of the objects interactively inside Acrobat reader.
