Marble24.zip is a packed scene that contains my marble material collection. The scene is simply a group of tiles each with a different marble material on it. Load the scene into simlab and in the materials tab you can "save as library", this will create a new library of marbles. below is a link to my dropbox with the scene in it and a pic is attached of the 24 Marbles.

Hello,

I have a question, is it possible to import .vismat-materials or to convert them into .mlb-datas?

Looking forward to your answers....

You can not do this automatically, as the file formats are different, but what you can do easily is to download the zip file, unzip it, and recreate the material based on appearance, texture, bump, normal and opacity maps

The following screenshot shows a recreation of simple material.

Hi Simlab..

I am wondering why my materials in Simlab look so much different to your screen shot..

Blue Diamond looks like a different material. Also, when I add some materials to object, they do not represent the same colour. They are way different..

Those are rendered images, so they are affected by the scene we use for rendering and by the lighting used to generate the rendered image.

we changed the model between version 2015 and 6 but internally materials should behave the same way.

Hi...

I realise its posible to share Textures now.. But It would also be nice to be able to share Render Settings... I am unable to reproduce the beautiful render of that sphere with the bump map... Even is Simlab provided some Render Presets would be very useful.. From there users could tinker with the settings...

Hi Höregrö, can you explain how you do that sea water scene that you have on picture. I am getting a bit difficulties creating a sea like yours. Your help appreciated.

Regards.
