Support for oculus quest

Post by b2unit » Sun Apr 14, 2019 7:06 pm

Hi,

If the simlab viewer is supported by the oculus quest, than this would be VERY interesting to communicate VR with clients.

Will oculus quest be supported (no-brainer)
Dit you already start development on this viewer, and is there already a time frame when it will be ready?

greetings,

Rob

Hello Rob,

We are always working on supporting more hardware, but in VR supporting all hardware is almost impossible.

Soon, we will have support for Oculus GO.

Than we add Oculus quest to the requests

Ashraf,

Thnx for your reply.
Good news that the simlab viewer will be in the Oculus store for Oculus GO headset.

I am confident that after deploying the Simlab viewer for Oculus Go , Making it Oculus Quest ready would be a smaller step. (wishful thinking)

The Oculus quest has a faster processor (Snapdragon 835 , oculus go Snapdragon 821) and manual IPD adjustment, better screen quality, this will help immersing my customers in my interior designs, and minimizes the motion sickness..

Looking forward to the oculus composer viewer version!

greetings,

Rob

We hope supporting quest will not be difficult as soon as Oculus Go support is complete (should be ready soon)
We see the value quest is bringing and we will add support as soon as we can
