Hi-Res Texture Real-Time Rendering Performance

Quite often I render close-up images. Mostly are high-resolution images for printing. I use high-resolution 8192x8192px texture maps.

Sometimes, the waiting for preview rendering(real-time) lasts more than two minutes.
Sometimes this makes the work incredibly unproductive. In 90% of cases I do not use SL for this kind of work. Is this problem known to developers?

Below is one simple test.

Start.

hr3.jpg

So. I expected real-time rendering of simple model for one minute. Complex models can wait much longer. Not good.
