Hello.
Am a newbie.
I just like the SLC well.
I think it would be great if you can cover a body with a bitmap.
For single areas, it works great.
But with many surfaces that yield a body I have not made it yet.
An example would be a sheet of DIN A4 paper. :
A bitmap on a straight sheet is easy.
But now would like a bitmap on a piece of paper which is kinked several times.
Is this to realize?
Do you need sketches or illustrations?
Thanks in advance.

Re: unwinding->Bitmap->cover
Can you share an image of what you try to do.
I believe regenerating texture coordinates is what you need.

Hello.
I would like to bring a bitmap to a surface.
The bitmap should follow the surface.
Like a sheet of paper.
You see the dog-ears of leaf two have a broken one bitmap.

Hi GreyEnt
I don't think that Simlab can do what you are trying to achieve. The UV mapping tools are simple to use but limited in what they can do. As an experiment I made a curved solid and applied a UV map in 3D Coat. I applied a texture map in Photoshop and load it into Simlab. It has no distortion. Next I applied the picture I have use to create the texture map to a duplicate object using Simlab's material and UV tools. This version of the object has distortion to the texture map where the surface curves away. I think this is because Simlab projects the texture on the face of the object.

hi keith.
Thank you very much.
I understand.
Maybe the programmers get into fire and work overtime.
Haste makes waste.
