I made it with Lightwave 3D. The material is made in Simlab. (and a bit in Genetica)
I have rendered it in two programs. The first, Simlab, is a processor based program, it took about 1 hour to render 10.000 x 5000 pix. The second render, made with a graphic card based program took about 3 minutes to render in the same resolution. see under..
