Ok, so we faked the transformation by splitting the spring into number of bodies.

Create a spring in CAD.
Do a very thin, let say 0.05/0.1mm Cut as shown in the image attached.
It will split the spring into number of bodies.
Make sure in the animation the Cut portion is facing the opposite side.
and in simlab manually move each coil of the spring and animate it.

I must be really dumb :? , I do not fully understand what he is saying and how to do it.

The goal is to compress the spring without distorting the diameter of the wire that has been made into the spring.
