SimLab 3D Exchange program

Postby SimLab » Sun Jul 10, 2016 11:56 am

SimLab Composer 7 includes a library of top quality 3D models that users can use to complete their scenes.
SimLab Soft worked with top quality 3D designers to create this library.

While the user has access to 3D models and materials from different sources, we believe the 3D library in SimLab Composer 7 is a great addition for the following reasons:
    It only includes top-quality models.
  • Saves the user a significant amount of time.
  • Full freedom for SimLab Composer user, simply the user cannot distribute the 3D model with another application or on a website, other than that, the user has full freedom to use it in rendering, animation, 3D PDF, and WebGL.
  • Fully assigned SimLab materials which makes using them very fast to use.
  • Complete scenes that can be used for users to learn lightening in SimLab Composer.
  • Different light sources in the 3D library ready to be used with your scene.

SimLab 3D Exchange program was created to give talented 3D designers the option to exchange top quality 3D models for a free professional license of SimLab Composer.

So they get the license in exchange of benefiting the SimLab Composer community.

The program is very easy to use, and is explained in the following link

Do you know a top quality 3D designer who can benefit from the program?
Please help us reach top quality 3D designers.

SimLab 3D Exchange program was a great success, we are thankful for all who already participated, and we are looking forward for more users.

Soon we will start sharing great models coming to SimLab Composer library.
Models that should complete great scenes.

Keep up the good work, and show us your talent.

Hi
Will you continue to accept submissions to the library and if so what is the best way in which to prepare and package the model? As a hobbyist I make models of things as a challenge such as this fire hydrant that I could submit if Simlab was interested but I'm not sure if you either want such objects, and if you do, whether it is worth spending time dropping a matrial on them in Simlab.

Hi Ashraf
When we contribute to the exchange program do we loose the right to give away or sell the model on other sites? I have made several more models and would have sent them to you but I put them on 3d Squirrel as an experiment. I am not sure if contributing them to your exchange program is allowable under these circumstances can you clarify?

The models themselves are quite ordinary and I don't have enough experience to know if they would be worthy submissions.
Best wishes
Keith

Hello Keith,

You keep the copyrights for the models so you can distribute them or sell them on other sites.
You simply give SimLab the right to distribute them free of for a fee, while keeping all your copyrights.
