My question: plugin "SketchUp Integration" is not yet compatible with SketchUp in 2017?

The page was just updated.

Please make sure to have it refreshed, it should include the integration plugin for SketchUp 2017.

Can you make plugin for Sketchup to import .max file directly to sketchup?

Max is one of the formats that is difficult to get right, we had few requests for that, but I do not think we have close plans for supporting Max format.

We have a plugin for 3DS to export SKP file, and also you can export many file formats from 3DS Max that we have SketchUp importers for.

We understand that many users get Max files while they are not users of 3DS Max.
